From what the WHO just said, against server illness they still seem to work yep.

But from other reports they Seem to have less ability to stop people catching or spreading it tho.
So like the delta variant then ?

At least it’s something.

'Existing vaccines should still protect people who contract the Omicron variant from severe Covid cases, a World Health Organization (WHO) official says.

That was the ultimate aim of the vaccines anyway so sounds like good news to me, I'm sure someone will find a tweet to counter this though....

Anyone know what the deal is with getting a booster if you're not well? I'm getting over a really bad cold and cough, reckon it's turned into a chest infection (not covid, I've done loads of tests).

If the doctor puts me on antibiotics, would I still be able to get a booster? I'm slightly concerned about what'd happen if I caught covid on top of this.

Am 34, no known medical conditions and coming up on 5 months since I had my second jab, I can see them opening up the boosters to my age range fairly soon.

We are indeed being fleeced - for example why are PCR test so much more expensive in the UK than in other countries across Europe? There should be regulation.

My biggest beef is the £2300 or whatever it is for 10 nights in a travelodge you could get for £30 a night yourself.

Utter scandal.

I think they are doing over bookings for o35s from the 13th so you might have to wait till January anyway. Not sure they would let you have it with those symptoms

The private testing industry is booming. I was in town the other day and noticed quite a few "boutique" medical centres in high value locations with very swanky looking entrances specialising in private testing for travel etc.

What an absolute scam.
