Don’t normally get unwell. I’ve had the confirmation that I’m positive today. Jesus I feel terrible. Headache, Fever, sore throat, cough etc… Knocked me for 6 this but at least my breathing is ok.

Get well soon blue. Like yourself I don't tend to get unwell often at all. I contracted it and had confirmation via PCR test this morning.

Yesterday was a rough day with same symptoms as you. Today nowhere near as bad and had covid not been a thing I'd have gone to work today.

Omicron?

I read today, a professor, whose name I have forgotten, suggest that Omicron does not seem to be affecting the lungs and it is planting itself in the throat. He explained it in a far better way though :)

The more I read about omicron the more I think we’ve got it in our family and I do now.

My chest was sore day one but it’s now almost completely in my throat and head. My stomach hasn’t been 100%. Grandkids have it and never had Covid before, showing symptoms. I’m fully vaccinated and must have been exposed lots of times all year but only ill now. I’ve not lost taste and smell at all and feel a bit achey.

I’ve got 100% of omicron symptoms basically and not many of the previous variant ones.

I have already said this today (sorry I’m so bored at home and not working anymore) but it is mild if this is the “typical” for it. It’s mild enough to get on with your day to day.

Anyway, that’s speculation as I don’t know for sure but everything is pointing in the direction I have omicron.
