Ok , you’re apolitical but utterly stupid if you think there is even the remotest equivalence between Drakeford and Johnson
I don't like or trust either, that doesn't make me stupid it just means our views differ.

The BBC and other broadcasters have consistently got it wrong in this pandemic. They have given too much weight to what the stats people say with their modelling and have always looked for a political slant. I think the problem is that the organisation is still too London-centric. Their reporters talk to excited politicans all day in the Westminster bubble and miss the real story. They have not reported the facts with any context. Too much credence has been given to what certain people have said on Twitter and not enough weight given to accounts from medical staff. They are a disgrace.
They screamed the headline about 100K+ cases onto a push notification but no mention of deaths / hospital data. I'm sorry but they have an agenda - I don't care if that sounds paranoid there is simply no balance to their reporting. The anchor on breakfast the other day said to one of their usual talking head prophets of doom 'Of course everyone at home will be extremely worried, but how worried should they be?' Totally loaded into convincing everyone we should be hiding behind the sofa.
First time I've ever agreed with Bliar."Frankly, if you're not vaccinated at the moment and you're eligible and you've got no health reason for not being vaccinated, you're not just irresponsible, you're an idiot. "I'm sorry. Truthfully you are."
Tony Blair not mincing his words today

I had my eyes opened during the first phase when we were being urged to bang pots and pans for the NHS outside our doors. My neighbour is a Ward Sister at one of the main hospitals in our area and I mentioned it to her. Her reply was: "You have not been taken in by all that bollocks have you?" My family members, most of whom work in the NHS, said similar things. They regarded it as a political stunt to deflect people away from the lack of beds and the staffing crisis. They have said since day one that this was a beds and staffing crisis not a Covid crisis. These views never get aired on TV because the narrative has already been decided.
Its clearly not under pressure from Omicron is it so are you suggesting we have restrictions because it’s not being run/funded/staffed/correct capacity?
If so I hope you are not suggesting that we suffer restrictions all the time now because of that?
The restrictions put in place at the start of the previous week and self isolation by people putting a family Christmas first have clearly had the desired effect though.we’ve only just found out it’s milder.
we still have record levels of infection and don’t know for sure how over 100k getting covid will result in hospitalisation
We have NHS staff off up and down the country because they are testing positive.
so clearly, despite being less severe than the delta variant - covid is still causing havoc and that is the reason for restrictions
Hospital staff, locally, are being asked (obviously not officially) not to test unless they've symptoms, so I'm told. They don't want any randoms adding to the potential staff shortages.PCR testing now taking as long as 96 hours waiting for test results in Greater Manchester.
Only 1 in 20 hospital beds have a covid patient in them.just because it’s milder doesn’t mean the NHS is under severe pressure at the moment
NHS now doing rapid pcr tests if you are on a shift in next 24 48 hrs and you are deemed essential to service provision, got a pcr result today done in 5 hrsAfraid no option - I`m a key worker and had to have a PCR in August and got my result in 24 hours. But it would appear the current uptake in testing has spiralled based upon the size of the queue at the drive through test centre. She also has colleagues who are sat waiting on test results.
