Seeing everyone will be offered the vaccine by sept now , what i am not hearing is whether this is a yearly vaccine , i think it will, sept will see the old and vulnerable will get vaccinated again, will there be enough for everyone ? Lots of questions floating in the air
I don't think they know yet. They need to understand the rate at which the virus is mutating and how less efficacious that makes the vaccine to make that decision.

Wish they would release the testing for England as the picture is hazy without it.

But what we know from the other nations is not notably low.

It is absurd that they cannot be bothered in a pandemic when the other home nations all do.

People will jump on that number as half of yesterday but forget it is weekend and deaths are not registered as easily then so always down. So not as amazing as it seems.

It is actually 108 UP on last Sunday's total of 563. What they should compare it with.

Hopefully deaths will peak in the next week or so - looks like infections peaked early Jan - as you'd expect from tier 4 in London late Dec, lock down everywhere 5th Jan.

Everything is going roughly as would be expected. Just need to keep in that way for at least three months...

The most recent Sunday totals were: (with pillar 1 & 2 tests done then)

20 Dec 35, 928 /// Tests 429, 593

27 Dec 30, 501 /// Tests 269, 877 (Boxing day testing data hence low numbers)

3 Jan 54, 990 /// Tests 410, 351

10 Jan 54, 940 ///Tests 528, 011

17 Jan 38, 598 /// ?????????

Dutch government has announced that primary schools will not reopen before Feb 8, and that’s at the earliest; they’ve been closed since before Christmas.
Figures simply not going down fast enough to run the risk, and the fear persists that the British variant is already in communities.

The cases drop is good news. That barely lags. I think we can say that deaths on Tue and Wed may not be higher than Fri/Sat.
