It was the scientists.
In this instance, correct. It was SAGE who put this strategy forward.

Vallance was just asked about it Sky News and he said the plan is to get everyone their second dose within 12 week period. He didn't really give a straight answer on Israel's research.

Wondering if anyone can help, the Mrs has a positive test and I've ordered a home test now. But as we're both self isolating how do I post it? I can't find anything about couriers who pick up tests?

Hopefully the MHRA will comment or at least be asked the question once the official paper on this is published. I understand that Israel are receiving supply quicker in return for the data, so they are following strictly the Pfizer protocol. They suggest around 30% protection at 14 days and a significant increase in antibodies after the second injection, would be interesting to know if they tested the antibodies at day 21 prior to the second jab to give better context.

Yes, certainly an appropriate scientist (might be JCVI) has to be assessing this and making a comment on what they think. It will presumably be asked at the next press conference, whenever that is.

It will depend which vaccine most people are getting too, while there may be those that are unsure on the best policy for the pfizer.I saw somebody from the Ox/ Az team say 8-12 weeks was the sweet spot for their one.
I would guess and only a guess the majority getting it from their GP and smaller centres are getting the Ox/Az one.

It was very good - the film shown yesterday followed by an interview with CM directly about why/what he'd seen. Clear, sober, and being able to answer to what he'd seen/heard.
I thought what Clive said about clinicians feeling that the public had not been properly informed about the scale of the circus was pretty powerful. He said, journalists had been more or less blocked from going into hospitals for months and that lack of information may have made it easier for people to ignore the Covid rules.

Have you got the home test yet? Ive done 2. I’m pretty sure, when it arrives and you register it online, that it tells you where your priority post box is (I can see mine from my window!) and gives you the option of booking a courier.

If your missus is confirmed positive, has symptoms and now you do too then I wouldn’t be too concerned about getting a test sent to prove it. Assume you’ve got it.

Dutch toward the bottom of the vaccination table in terms of numbers. Different approach to UK, too. Netherlands chose to vaccinate acute staff and care home workers first. Next will be nursing staff and only then the elderly. Vaccinations being held in reserve so that people are guaranteed both shots, as per the Pfizer protocol.
