"And they're a lot younger - in the first wave, sorry, I remember thinking that could be mum. That could be my aunt. And now I'm thinking that could be me. That could be my brother, my boyfriend.

"We've lost people in their 30s, in their 40s. It's heart-breaking."

How’s everyone who’s had COVID19 doing recently?
Can’t quite recall all the names but aware of @ayrshire_blue & @tolmie's hairdoo - how are you doing?

It’s around 3 weeks this weekend since I had the first symptoms & although I’m on the mend quite considerably now, I’m still chesty (not like that fellas....), unable to consider long walks (certainly nowhere near running fit), but breathless and ‘mind energy’ pretty low.

Do you think if I take precautions I’d be good to head to a supermarket (given it’s three weeks since my first symptoms but not everything being equal...).
Cant keep relying on other’s to bring supplies (my ex essentially).

I’m back in work btw - helped with my focus (its remote working & I ducked out of most meetings - I look a wreck so off cam/mic for the few meetings I attended).
why not get your supermarket stuff delivered mate, or are you desperate to get out? Maybe a short walk better than the sm. Great that you are feeling a little better though.

Pretty much exactly the same for me. No respiratory symptoms when I was really ill with it, but since I've got 'well' again going to the shops for a pint of milk knackers me out and still sleeping like a teenager. Not wheezy, just feels like a belt around my chest when I'm tired. Doc wants me to do a couple of weeks on asthma inhalers to see if that helps.

Wales vaccination update:

Caveat mentioned by them - incomplete numbers due to tech issues yesterday.

378, 200 first doses administered - 15, 947 reported today (v 26, 182 reported yesterday)

750 second doses administered - 33 reported today (v 43 reported yesterday)

Thanks everyone. Contrast with the worse moments I’m far, far better.
Paracetamol have definitely taken the edge off the cough (& pain).
I might try & 30 min walk sometime this weekend. Good shout from tolm re vit c tabs & that linctus.

Definitely looking into upping my vit game post all this. Think my 25mg (micro) vitv D isn’t strong enough. Vit B12 & magnesium glycinate (helps me sleep).

Yes, real flu is utterly different to ‘cold flu’ had it probably 2-3 times in my lifetime & it’s paralysing.

I’m prone to sinus issues & if I ever get an infection in my ear the pain is indescribable. Invariably ends up with my ear drum bursting (hence tinnitus in my right ear).
Fortunately that didn’t occur with this covid bout.

Back on inhaler (brown steroid) as I can take deep breaths again (was too painful during the worse).

Other than that, just a bit mentally down (not surprising given I’ve not exercised fir 3 weeks...) & that stinging eyes lethargy.

Thanks for all the support & advice folks...been a real mental help.

Old fashioned menthol crystals in a bowl of boiled water have helped me a lot (towel over head and deep breaths)

Glad you are feeling better ,the inhalers really help so keep that up . Dont rush , do a bit more every day but get plenty of rest , marathon not a sprint , the supermarket sounds a bit much at the moment , maybe just a local shop and work up

Im of serious belief that supermarkets are one of the main hubs for spreading, mrs works at asda and these apps are allways going off on the staffs phones, lots of staff off with it,then you have dirty basket and trolly handles, lingering virus particles which are airborn,,like you say get it delivered or restrict to a little corner shop untill infection rates drop to a safeish level,,i'm very surprised my mrs has not come home with it yet then again she may have and we may have had it without knowing
