For what it's worth, I believe the NHS have changed the criteria for booking jabs such that you have to be registered as a carer on your GP file. Not seen anything as to whether this is due to the tightening of supply leading to a tightening of criteria or to close the potential loophole you've highlighted.
 
Should see more the figure of 31m for first doses broken today and nearly 4.3m second. Fantastic achievement by this country. By the end of the month those figures could be near 40m and 10m+. Normality is slowly returning, just need a little more patience from all age groups i.e. can the under 30's stop acting like twats

Yes but all you need to do is ring your surgery tell them you care for an elderly relative which can be as little as collecting shopping they will then either ask you to fill out a form naming said relative or just update system to show you as an unpaid carer either way not difficult.

England hospital 43 deaths

4 of the 43 are older than a month

By region: Midlands15, NE & Yorkshire 9, London 6, East 5, South East 4, North West 2, South West 2


The most was 4 in Birmingham. The North West 2 were one each in Manchester and Stockport.

Northern Ireland data:

0 deaths - was 0 last week

107 cases - was 183 last week

4.4% positivity - was 6.3% last week

915 weekly rolling case total - was 977 yesterday and 1054 last week

5 care home outbreaks - was 5 yesterday and 6 last week

112 Patients - was 118 yesterday and 153 last week

9 ventilated - was 9 yesterday and 10 last week
 
Todays data has again been excellent everywhere.

Here are the the age ranges for the 915 positive cases in N Ireland over the past 7 days

0 - 19 (200) 21.9%

20 - 39 (344) 37.6%

40 - 59 (290) 31.7%

60 - 79 (60) 6.6%

80 PLUS (21) 2.2%


I have posted these every few days as they show very clearly that the numbers over 60 (the most vaccinated) are tumbling in the % of those testing positive - really good proof of vaccine efficacy).

Even in January when lockdown was in force but vaccines were still in very early days it was about 20% in the over 60s. It soon fell below and has just dropped ever since. Just a couple of weeks ago it was at about 15% .

It is now 8,8%.

Very clear proof that vaccination works and is protecting the most vulnerable. Hence the hospitalisations and death numbers tumbling.

Nearly 60% of those testing positive are under 40. And I am pretty sure most of those are under 30.

Moreover the numbers are dropping in EVERY age group. Even the younger ages. Hence the case numbers going down too.
 
Does anybody truly believe that a thorough independent investigation on the origins of the Wuhan virus will ever take place?

The WHO in China's back pocket on many fronts still denying the many concentration camps to rid people of extremist thoughts (LOL) exposed again by a British journalist who hopefully will get out of the country alive have even queried the waste of time and money spent on the one they commissioned.

Somehow unless by some miracle their leader and his trusted souls are exterminated overnight and they become a democracy within days I doubt it.

I take it you havn't read the WHO's investigation document, or watched the Dr Campbel video on it. while remaining diplomatic in wording its pretty damning on the lack of cooperation.

I understand the WHO are not satisfied with the outcome but I have seen the video.

I am concerned NZ are not calling China out as many other nations are including the QUAD 4.

Too worried about economic sanctions that China will impose on them as they have Australia in breach of WTO agreements.

I have news for them they will impose them on NZ in due course when they feel like it whether they call China out on genocide , violation of human rights , shutting down free speech including criticism of the CCP and the list goes or not.

Meanwhile the world has a right to know the origins of the Wuhan virus within the bounds of scientific rational and measured probability and debate what can be done to minimise it occurring again as scientific advancements assist in this noble cause.

When their findings don't rule out frozen food imported into China carrying the virus from another source we have a problem as they used to say in Houston.

More on the England hospital death numbers:

Here are the past 4 weeks of deaths across the 7 days up to 27 March. Last day for which we have a 5 day total when the majority have been recorded.

This also smooths over the different day of the week effect - such as at weekends when numbers are artificially low Though at the numbers we are at now this matters less.

28 Feb - 6 Mar 155 - 163 - 123 - 123 - 109 - 127 - 98

7 Mar - 13 Mar 88 - 107 - 91 - 81 - 90 - 67 - 74

14 Mar - 20 Mar 66 - 68 - 60 - 58 - 42 - 44 - 51

21 Mar - 27 Mar 50 - 43 - 51 - 28 - 38 - 30 - 18


The days coming up behind are on 18 after 4 days - 25 after 3 days - 23 after 2 days and 5 after 1 day

So that 18 is an outlier. But the past 8 first day totals have been either 3 or 5 remarkably and only 1 of the past 2 weeks has not had a single number reported on the first day.

To be fair to the WHO they are, in most part, a diplomatic entity, they need to play the diplomacy card closrly. as in they need to not piss off countries like China, as China is likely to be a source of Pandemics while there animal husbandry gets its self sorted out ( it will happen eventually ). if you get to critical they close up shop and you have no idea whats going on and get zero warning of any new pandemics.

Im almost 100% sure this is what happened with the WHO this time around. the US and other countries just spouted "China flu" etc etc and China in there beligerent way just said a giant fuck you to the world and refused the WHO access. hopefully that will calm down and we can start to get access some more.

Even if the whole world got together and imposed sanctions on China ( its not gonna happen ) they would still be doing what they do politically. Nothing will change that other than internal changes to that country.

Id suggest watching the video, the WHO documentation is very thorough and rational. it gives measured ideas of where things may have come from yet takes nothing off the table. the reason they don't rule out frozen food is they dont know where it came from so they cant rule it out.
