Bedford, Burnley, Kirklees and Hounslow now surge testing as the variant is there.
And Leicester.
And Leicester.
It hugely reduces the chances of you catching it by around 94% and makes the chance of you being hospitalised virtually zero. So much so that the CDC in the US has basically said that life can carry on as normal for double vaccinated people meaning no masks needed and back to full capacity sporting events and concerts etc.and the vaccine doesn't stop people catching it.

Bolton hospital has gone from 19 to 25 patients with Covid between Monday and today.
Most are unvaccinated but 3 of them have had both doses of the vaccine.
Not sure I agree. It was always going to be difficult to keep it out no matter what we did.2967 total cases of the new variant now known in the UK.
Such a shame we were not more quick to make brave decisions on travel to and from there. As it was clear where that was going early enough and this is not wise after the fact given this countries close links to India.
Maybe they have underlying health issuesThat's disappointing. I thought a double vaccine dose was pretty much guaranteed to keep you out of hospital. Obviously not :-(
There are other security features on this part of the app. As well as not being able to take a screenshot the time is displayed to the second at the bottom of the screen so it has to match exactly when you are showing it. Once you have uploaded a recent photo of yourself you cannot change it either.I've just activated the myGP TICKet vaccination status feature. You get a greennext your photo and it has your name, date of birth and date of your second vaccination. Interestingly, you are unable to take a screenshot of it for security reasons.
Looks really good.
Hancock says they will announce on 14 June IF the full easing of restrictions 7 days later will happen.
We need the next 4 weeks to see how things develop and continued caution in the next few weeks are vital if we are to get this new variant under control.
They did suggest that was a factor in general but did not specify with these 3 patients. Especially if they are only just admitted. They might be home tomorrow.Maybe they have underlying health issues
I think they meant by spreading to new locations as it has been doing pretty much daily. It’s hardly out of control, less than 3k cases in total out of 66 million people.
