The pub I was in earlier, this was very noticeable despite the signs. Loads of people moving around with no masks on.

Yeah I agree
Just catching up with the news.
SAGE now suggesting another lockdown in the winter.
Why? Most of the population will.be vaccinated.
We are all being played I think now.

This lockdown suggestion isn’t for Covid though, it’s for ‘other respiratory viruses’. Instead of it being something that should never be contemplated, lockdown could be the go-to solution for a multitude of things.
Air pollution too high? NHS overrun in the winter? Lots of kids getting viruses because their usually excellent immune systems have been massively compromised all year? Looking like we might lose an election? Slow down global warming? The list is potentially endless (a bit like lockdown)…………

With the suggestion if you’ve had the jabs you don’t need to quarantine, that for me isn’t the problem with travel it’s the cost of the testing as anyone who went to Portugal will well know. Are they suggesting you won’t have to do the two tests to go to a green country if you’ve had both doses?
 
Came into contact with a real life Covid conspirator theory dick head on Friday. He's a dipper as well from Macclesfield, amongst other things he reckons Macc hospital has only had 4 cases of "flu", Bristol Western Hospital only had positive cases because they clean their testing equipment too often and his mate Rittesh in India said there's been no deaths from Covid, the images we've seen on TV are staged so the Indian Government can get financial aid. He's about 40 I'm guessing and said he will never wear a mask, sanitise his hands or social distance. Now this maybe harsh but I hope he gets seriously ill with the Delta variant, what an utter knob head.

He’s a student at Leeds Uni and shares a house with 4 other students, they’ve all took Coronavirus very seriously. Students get a bad rap sometimes but I’ve been proud of him

By all accounts a particularly bad winter for flu is to be expected, and the NHS is already well behind in many other areas.

"Lock down for a couple of weeks to slow down the spread of flu to protect the NHS and save lives" is not beyond the realms of possibility.

Considering how accepting the general public has been lockdowns and curtailed freedom, i dont think its ridiculous to suggest that, with the right messaging, it could be done again in future.

But that’s not what he said is it. The scared conspiracy nuts think it’s going to be used to stop elections etc.

yeah, that won't fly. You'll have riots, people have had enough and want their lives back.
