Greater Manchester scary numbers as you might expect,
Only 4 of the 10 boroughs had Pop Score rises LESS than 100! That is unprecedented, Everywhere suddenly off the charts today.
Oldham's Pop Score rise today of 126 is in the territory that those boroughs in Kent were scoring in January, When they had Pop Score numbers over 1000. Double where Bolton ever got in April,
Bury was 'lowest' today with 138 cases and a Pop Rise of 'just' 67. Allbeit both these are the highest here in many months.
It was the ONLY borough NOT to top 200 cases today, Though Bolton's 202 and Stockport's 210 were the lowest of the high. Indeed despite that 210 Stockport actually went another 36 Pop Score points ahead of Trafford in one leap,
Bolton, up 70, Stockport up 71 and Manchester up 90 were the only places not to rise by 3 figure Pop Score numbers today. Manchester actually JUST avoided staying under 500 cases (on 499) which was the only number down week to week (from 520).
Wigan topped 350, Oldham just one shy of 300 and Trafford over 250,
I did not see these numbers coming,
No other region jumped up as much as the North West today,
Indeed bad as these GM numbers are they are a bit DOWN on the average expected given the rises for the rest of the NW both day to day and week to week.
GM up day to day 503 to 2727 - highest in many moons. Indeed GM was HIGHER on its own than 3 of the 9 England regions today,
But NW day to day was up 1284 so GM was again not the main driver,
Week to week GM was up 510 - compared with the NW rise of 1454 - so well below the expected number.
In other words - bad as these were in GM - they are actually better than the region itself did as has been true for some time now,
