185 all settings deaths - down from 209 last Tuesday

26, 628 cases

DOWN 4197 on yesterday and DOWN 10, 861 on last week

Better than I suspect we dared hope

Lowest numbers since 10 August

Of the 185 who passed away what is the data behind that.

How many were not vaccinated.

How many had one.

How many had 2.

What age range too?

Thanks.

There is a Government dashboard that catches this type of information but it’s isn’t in the main briefings, I understand. I heard on the BBC last night that about 300 of the 140,000 plus people who have died had been double jabbed. They were mainly people in their 80s with co-morbidities.

Sage scientists predicting 2000 to 7000 hospitalisations a day in England next month. Based on what exactly? case numbers are starting to fall in England slightly. Where is the reasoning for these figures??

Aren’t hospitalizations a trailing indicator of cases? Thus, a few weeks after cases peak, hospitalizations would peak.

I have no idea about the specific numbers you cited, only the timeline of cause and effect.

That's my understanding as well. Case numbers in England have not jumped 3 to 10 fold in the past week or so and don't look likely to do so in the next week or two? the numbers reported are the headline on the BBC website this morning? These predictions look like they are wildly off the mark and come across as total scaremongering when provided with no explanation or justification? Why are none of the professional journalists at these briefings asking such questions about things like this?

The plan announced is to do it at 6 months on from their second dose (I think they meant that) as that is regarded as the optimum point. So the first will be those who had a second dose by March. Did you mean her first dose in February as that was 2 months into the first dose programme. I had my first dose in February and was nowhere near the top of the list. My second was in April so will not be before mid October anyone who had their first at the start of February would qualify on the plans announced today.

If they meant six months on from the first dose a lot of people are already over 6 months.
Yes first dose in February. My elderly parents, in laws etc had already had it at that point. But she was one of the early health care doses. My 89 year old father in law is definitely due as he’d had both by the end of January as they honoured the 3 week gap.
