Coronavirus (2022) thread

I’ve just seen this tweet posted on Facebook by someone I’m fairly good friends with (though not actually seen him in about 10 years).

Is it even remotely true? My initial thought is that it’s bullshit but if anyone has a good resource I can reply with as I can’t find the original data.

Edit. Found the data:

Should have not locked down and used covid to solve our impending social care crisis.

That Dan Wooton is awful talks like people with pre existing conditions don't matter.

1 in 3 people in the UK have a health condition (eg 8 million have asthma).

also what about the excess deaths in 2020 compared to previous years? 100,000+ higher than normal

GB News sways slightly down the anti covid/anti vax route and that presenter is a total moron

It's about to be scrapped, due to be announced next week and implemented from February.
I assume this will be for all fully vaccinated arrivals and not just nationals returning home from abroad, but no confirmation either way just yet.

Even if there remains a 48 hour testing requirement for foreign arrivals, no-one gives a fuck.
Thanks very much for the update and I look forward to that happening. I appreciate it.

Yeah that’s what I replied with and that the excess deaths is some 156,000. Also reminded him that both his parents have underlying conditions as does his sister.

Numbers for countries are 'all over the place' ratio of deaths per pop score from major nations in many instances both in cases and/or deaths just don't look right.

Cases are obviously from the amount of testing being done I'd guess most countries would have had near enough the same percentage of infections but declared figures don't show that.

As for deaths, a death is a death but not all are counted the same way, they just can't be with the variations of cumulative numbers across countries.

I said from very early on, the lesson from this pandemic will be our health in general and the way as a society we over eat, smoke and let ourselves get Ill with things like diabetes and obesity and then we wonder why we die early and demand it’s not allowed and so unfair.

Seems the actual numbers and not the scare story numbers are beginning to show that.

Wooton is a knob but the ONS isn’t.
