Was it confirmed you had Omicron as your symptoms lean more towards Delta.I know there's plenty of anecdotal evidence on this thread about the new strain being mild but gotta say it's wiped me out for last 7 days. Severe headaches and shortness of breath for the most part with nights where I was burning up. Last 2 days have been huge improvements and I'm just about feeling well enough to get out into the garden and try and do some kind of exercise because I feel weak as piss.
I've no underlying health issues, I'm what I'd call fairly fit for my age considering my lifestyle and I don't ever normally get any kind of bugs etc.
I'm double jabbed(due my booster shortly) and all in all wasn't concerned at all when I got my positive result initially. I guess my point is that whilst it's great news that for many the symptoms are mild it'd be foolish to believe everyone will be fine and dandy.
I'm still of the opinion it's time to crack on the best we can but can understand a little bit of the concern from the scientists and those tasked with the decisions.
Yeah it was the Omicron strain and thanks, feel miles better than I was a week ago.Was it confirmed you had Omicron as your symptoms lean more towards Delta.
Hope you are fighting fit again soon
Are you talking about the tweeter or blueinsa?Surely, the inference is that people with underlying conditions don’t really count.
There’s a lot of peole claiming they were right all along (particularly in the media) when maybe the best course of action would be to just crack on with the rest of their lives.
There is still some delta about mate.I know there's plenty of anecdotal evidence on this thread about the new strain being mild but gotta say it's wiped me out for last 7 days. I’ve just seen this tweet posted on Facebook by someone I’m fairly good friends with (though not actually seen him in about 10 years).
Is it even remotely true? My initial thought is that it’s bullshit but if anyone has a good resource I can reply with as I can’t find the original data.
Edit. Found the data:
1 in 3 people in the UK have a health condition (eg 8 million have asthma).
also what about the excess deaths in 2020 compared to previous years? 100,000+ higher than normal
GB News sways slightly down the anti covid/anti vax route and that presenter is a total moron
Not eligible yet due to age, mate. Spain been pretty good on most things but they haven't been too quick on this score.Reckon you would have been miles better if you already had your booster before catching it.
That story doesn't ring true to me. It claims she was feeling fine but then she had back pain and lay down for 10 minutes and "choked to death." There is not a single quote in the story which confirms a medical diagnosis. There is nothing to substantiate the claims. As a triple-jabbed pro-vaxxer there is a dark part of me that wants it to be true but I think it is probably bollocks...something the BBC does very well these days.
People are being forced?but the vast majority of Covid deaths have an average of FOUR co morbidities
it’s always been a pandemic of the elderly and vulnerable and I think a disgrace we’re forcing young healthy people and children to take the vaccine
Well thank fuck I was just mild then! Haha! Didn't feel so mild at one point.Covid seems to have a very wide range of disease from totally asymptomatic to deadly.
"Mild" by clinical definition AIUI is everything below on oxygen in hospital.
So wanting to die suffering from the worst flu ever still counts as mild.
Get well soon!
Of course they count nobody thinks they don’t, but I think it’s more these are the people who are vulnerable so offer those people the jab and let those who aren’t vulnerable crack onSurely, the inference is that people with underlying conditions don’t really count.

Not true.it’s always been a pandemic of the elderly and vulnerable
I think the video is worse mate because the inference is that over 65s don’t count much either. Are you talking about the tweeter or blueinsa?
People are being forced?
When was that brought in?
Not true.
