Coronavirus (2022) thread

I have a lot of sympathy to this guy, crippling needle phobia resulting in being unvaccinated, He died last week, while I didn't know him directly ( I knew him on a different forum online ) I know a lot of people who did know him personally and every single person only has good things to say abut him. was genuinely a great bloke.

Get Vaccinated. If you have a needle phobia, And I know someone who does, there is help available to try to get past it as much as is possible, Talk to your Dr for help.

RIP.
I can understand why someone like him with a crushing fear of needles didn’t get it. The message should have been hammered home, adverts/images/testimonials of people with a predisposed phobia who conquered their fear along side others who weren’t vaccinated and nearly died and what their experience was like.

A bit like warnings on tobacco products but this disease can kill in a short time not over many years, shock tactics designed to get needles in arms, just don’t understand why it’s not been done.

Think it’s difficult to understand stand phobias if you haven’t got one tbh, I haven’t got any as far as I know but I’m sure it’s real in some peoples heads.
I have, thunder and lightning on the golf course, my mates piss themselves when I hear a small crack of thunder and run off the course as soon as possible. I’ve been caught out a few times without much warning, this irrational fear takes over, my heart races and I freeze not knowing what to do, terrible phobia, any sympathy? No chance, just my playing partners having a laugh at my expense.

I've got a needle phobia, and a general phobia of medical settings. I had a panic attack in the waiting room when having my first jab..fucking awful but it's just got to be done hasn't it.

My rationale was being scared shitless for 30 mins at a vaccine centre is better than the possibility of being actually stuck in a hospital for weeks/months with covid when unvaccinated..
I’ve posted before, I had a small fear of needles as a kid but went from that to injecting myself in my stomach on a 2 year medical trial, got the letter about a year after the trial finished informing me as I had been on the placebo, had been injecting water (got paid but it wasn’t a lot).

It's all lies by Big Pharma. It wasn't really water, it was experimental gene therapy nanoparticles remotely activated by 5G radio waves.

You need to buy some healing crystals and insert them into your body via the anal cavity.

Few of my mates have had covid last couple of weeks..heavy cold for a few days all late 40s all jabbed twice..Good to know the 2 jabs are working well..

Thats so sad to read

My wife has a phobia of needles. She was sat in the car with me and Was having panic attacks. The staff at the vaccine centre came round to our car and were superb with her and really patient. One of the paramedics was telling her lots of silly jokes to put her at ease For the 1st one, as he was telling the jokes she didn’t even realise the jab had been done. She’s now had two and the booster and each time she has got slightly less worked up

Anyone with a needle phobia just need to notify whoever is giving the vaccine and they will understand

I have sympathy for people who have needle phobia (who actually enjoys being jabbed) but look at it this way: if you end up in ICU think how many needles they'd be sticking in you then.
