How on Earth can this be justified is beyond me. 2 meter rule for everybody but footballers. Not to mention this track & trace policy which again clearly does not apply to football .

I have so many friends inc barbers who are really starting to feel the strain now.

this send a message to the whole country do what you want. Maybe herd immunity is still the only way the government see out of this.

4-6 weeks I will be amazed if the second spike does not start.

give the scousers the cup nobody cares anymore

    Not necessarily.
Just a continual drip of positive tests among players should do it.

Can't wait to see how many last minute penalties the dippers get under these "non contact" rules.

Over the last 20 yrs the self same broadcasters you are criticising have relentlessly peddled the myth that sport is primarily entertainment and the armchair masses and less partisan modern match goers have fallen for it.

Top sportsmen want the money that goes with big crowds and millions of tv viewers but they’d do it for nothing, they love the competition, the testing yourself against another guy who also dedicated his whole life to being good at a sport.

    Supporters are irrelevant

No issue whatsoever with the PL actively looking to restart once conditions are safe to do so. But this feels unnecessarily premature.
It would have been much more sensible to embrace the usual rhythm of our competitions, cancel this season, and put proper plans in place for starting again in late August/early September if possible.
But money is money, and only money talks.

Is the reason for not making the season null n void because clubs have spent the tv money before producing the goods ? Wouldnt that be against the premier leagues ffp ?
