Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I have been watching the Bundesliga and it is indeed a farce
Teams come out separately and stay apart until KO then it’s normal full contact footie and if anything a little more physical in the games I’ve seen and they seem to have dropped the no contact celebrations after a goal now which again was completely irrational anyway!!
I saw the first two games and subs in masks till they went on then took them off lol,as for goal celebrations, our lot are huggers,i doubt they will be able to stop that natural reaction,if indeed the powers that be are certain from testing them all the time that it is safe then why cant they celebrate a goal,if it is safe to push and shove at corners and tackle each then it must be safe to celebrate a goal

They need a women to make decisions,i am unexpectedly free so i'll do it

You need to listen to the advice better if you think that.

Mixed groups of no more than 6 can meet outside, so long as those from different households remain 2m apart.
When I say the 2m rule doesn't apply outdoors I mean that in schools 2m is an issue in that it hampers available space whereas outdoors space is not an issue. Sorry for poorly expressing myself.

Here is some more

The two teams will not emerge from the same tunnel at the same time to enter the field. Players will also be keeping a distance from the media - the 'amber zone' at stadiums will include media and club executives, who won’t require virus testing.

(Letting anyone in without a test is a nonsense if they want to keep it as stringent as the profess to do)

#PremierLeague teams are being encouraged to travel across England on the day of the game - ideally by plane - rather than staying in hotels. In some cases, teams will also arrive at stadiums on two buses to maintain social distancing

#PremierLeague players will be asked where possible to maintain social distancing - staying 2 meters apart - in dressing rooms, entering the field, during warm-ups and in goal celebrations

(Have the dressing rooms suddenly got bigger, walking on the pitch and in the warm up but then ok to play)

Only 110 people will be allowed in the 'red zone' around the field of play at #PL grounds, and will be required to have returned a negative COVID-19 test in the previous five days as part of a medical passport that will see a bar code scanned before they can enter

(There is no such thing as a medical passport, certainly not based on a test four or five days ago)

Included within this 110 people are players, coaches, medical staff, match officials, pitch technicians and Hawk-eye personnel for goal-line and video replay technology. [

Sorry about the source
The latest advice is that the players should get kitted up at home then get a plane over the relevant stadium and parachute into their playing position which will be marked on the pitch in advance. The manager will deliver the team talk via a Zoom meeting beforehand and his first words will be greeted by the players with the words "I can see you boss but I can't hear you I think you're on mute". Half time refreshments will be delivered via the Just Eat app. No problem. All sorted. Questions?
