If that story is true the police need to investigate as they would any other breach of lockdown rules and whoever was responsible needs to be dealt with severely. If the breach was sanctioned at a high level in the football authorities or at the club then heads should roll. Unfortunately the whole Dominic Cummings farce has reduced public confidence in both the enforcement of the rules and the integrity of people in positions of authority in respect of the virus.

That allows them to leave quarantine as per the government guidelines.
Given the fact that everyone tested -ve a few days earlier, and everyone tested multiple times -ve before the City game, it's likely it was a false positive.
