Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Money talks sadly....

I can see the games being played behind closed doors(in the prem)

9 games in a month is possible, maybe they will lockdown clubs, refs, families etc all together for a month then play all games the following month

Players and all involved agreeing to that is another matter.

You cant lock people down like that so they can just play football...players etc will be worrying about loved ones etc

Postpone everything until this thing becomes controllable...people are succumbing to stuff that's unprecedented, UEFA should see how inconsequential football actually is in people's lives right now. There will be plenty of time at some point in the future where they can re-build their own self importance and demand others respect for a such a 'wonderful' organisation. Be better disposed as what they can best do for the people who do love the game but right now have higher priorities. Businesses and organisations that think outside of their respective boxes will be more supported and appreciated than those who still think there is only them and themselves that still matter in times like the present.

Simon Jordan on Talkshite this morning, excellent comments on the clickbait reporting by the media that sdnsationalises this pandemic. Struck the right note of seriousness I thought. Well done. Then reverts to type when talking about football starting in May perhaps and finishing the season off, as football although irrelevant in real terms , provides valuable support to communities . Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory

Its August 2022 and the PL is set to re-start its first season since the conovirus epidemic. the pick of the first fixtures is MUFC v LFC, the two clubs that had to be bailed out by the government after the financial collapse that has his hit debt ridden clubs. MCFC The dirty oil club who waltzed through the financial upheaval will play the recently reformed Tottingham Huspur who were reluctantly also bailed out by the ADUG group, who also came to the rescue of 20 lower league clubs, so no doubt the Spurs will role over for the FFP cheating Mancs.

Yep, EU is closing it’s borders for the next month, the virus has nowhere near peaked and these clowns are having meetings about when they can get their money spinner up and running again, do they really think anyone gives a flying f**k about their shitty tournament or football at large with all this going on, deluded idiots doesn’t even begin to describe them!

Just seen the quote of Charlie Adam swinging the bat for his old team. Fortunately what he has to say does not matter one jot in anybody's life. There will be more garbage before the day is done, just hope that common sense hasn't gone missing for it's moment to shine...asking too much? Probably.

We saw this with Spanish Dave and his kid. Football isn't the most important thing. Each club will have their own family members, loved ones, mates who are going to catch this in the next week. Locking them down so we can figure out who plays next season is barbaric.
