Corruption in English football?

Really needs a big budget docudrama staring Tom Hardy, Daniel Craig, and Jason Statham to tell the story to the masses.
It'd never get made. The money men will see to that, although George Cloony did manage to get the Ohio State wrestling story (Us congressman Jim Jordan sex abuse coverup) made, which is due for release in June.

That’s a bit too broad, as I am not sure even those that believe the PL is a bastion of moral and ethical excellence would answer ‘no’ to that (there is overwhelming evidence that football writ-large is corrupt; even the formation of the Premier League itself is an example).

And, anyway, the main questions being posed in this and several related threads recently merged in to this one are regarding the Premier League, so the question is focused on that. ‘Premier League’ is a catch all for many of the entities you listed (it’s comprises many different organisations, not just League execs).
Fair point I get the difference in what your saying. I just disagree with the notion that the execs have got any clue what's going on... It's a bit like giving MP credit for the state of the country - they are clueless but rich puppets in both cases

Mate iv been dreaming my Netflix series of football corruption for years. It's literally a geopolitical drama - American owners, Arab governments, illegal Chinese bookies, plane crashes in the channel...

Would be one of the best series in years!

Could you imagine the sh*tstorm of injunctions and lawsuits from the money men at the top of the sport?

I bet there isn't an investigative film maker brave enough to go anywhere near it. I recon you'd be a whole lot safer doing an expose on the Mafia.

I think the question is missing the point. The premier league aren't the masters of this...

There's a WEBB of corruption of many different competing interests - bookies, agents, owners execs, refs and players probably more.

There isn't one tune that everyone is dancing to
Edited for you.

Nobody is trying to screw us out of the domestic cups. Look at the year we won the domestic treble - the cup draws could not have been easier.
We must have had the easiest set of Cup draws of any team over the last decade and more, or at least up there:

Leicester (Championship) a
Notts County (League 1) a
Reading (Championship) h
Birmingham (Championship) h
Wolves (Championship) a
Watford (Championship) h
Leeds (Champ) h
Barnsley (Champ) h
Blackburn (Champ) a
Watford (Champ) h
Wigan (Champ) h

Norwich (Champ) a
Sunderland (Champ) a
Hull (Champ) h

Wolves (Champ) h
Bristol C (Champ) h/a

Even in the CL we’ve had dross like Plzn CSKA Kyiv Donetsk Celtic Feyenoord Basel Hoffenheim Shalke Zagreb Lyon Olympiacos Marseille Brugge. In one Ro16 CL game against Shalke we had the same aggregate scoreline as we had against Burton Albion.

We were even handed CL games against English teams where we were 25 points (Liverpool) and 27 points (Spurs) ahead of in the Prem table at the time (yet we ended up going out to both of them).

We of all teams can never really moan about Cup draws.

If I were being cynical here I might look at the odds against a City victory in these games...
