Corruption in English football?

Well if you can bet on a foul throw his bank should be checked
If it was corrupt then money won't go anywhere near his personal bank account.

These kind of things work by the use of leverage against a individual or individuals in a position to influence events during the game (referee/lino, goalkeeper or striker). Usually in the form of financial incentive, or blackmail against individuals (or someone close to them). With a financial incentive being taken it then opens up individuals to blackmail, so it's a double edged sword.

I mention in the media thread the ridiculous way Hinchcliffe dismissed the clear push on Torres as not enough contact and he goes down too easily followed by him claiming Walker as stupid for not even touching Sharp who dived to win a dangerous free kick but when you have a compliant media literally lying to back up crap decisions week in, week out then you have no chance. It didn't alter the result today but yet again we see a team allowed to foul at will with no recourse until much later in the game and we see some strange decisions, the push and possible handball that barely even seem to register with the officials, VAR or the media covering the game yet if it involves certain other sides then there is an inquest and they go as far as tweaking the laws of the game or the interpretation of them.

Bit of a long sentence but you nailed it.

plain and obvious when they can show 20 replays of this Villa handball and none of them show the fictional flick off the thigh which is Dean's bullshit excuse.
Which would be irrelevant anyway if he's moved his hand out to make himself bigger, which he definitely has. Commentators pointed out that it was identical to one for or against Liverpool (let's be honest, probably for) that they explicitly stated would still count after the rules change.

PIGMOL is independent from the Prem. League so it can decide what it wants to do.
For instance it decided it could have sponsors on their shirts.
Will anyone raise an eyebrow when Bet365 or...... SKYbet are the next sponsors?

Panarama documentary last night about Daniel Kinahan. Good watch. Shows the levels that the underworld are prepared to go to, in order to get a slice of the action. Its about the money for sure. If it happens in boxing ? Big named boxers and promoters being photographed with these people too. One minute people getting shot, the next they're all in the ring on PPV. Barry Mcguigan lost Frampton to these guys, 250 boxers on their books, unbelievable.
Everything is corrupt. Fair play to Barry. He was the only one to appear on camera.

I’m pretty sure it was Hinchcliffe on co-comes for the Leicester game when he said that three very similar fouls were “definite penalties.”

You’ll remember who the referee was and which team those decisions were given against

The kinahans involved in boxing has little to do with money, it’s sport washing at its finest. Ruthless multiple killers, fronting an internationally notorious drugs cartel who don’t charge at least one of their top fighters a management fee. Utter scum, depressing to see boxing lap them up.
Worth its own thread that.
