Cost of living impact on football

Without wanting to sound like a smart arse, I'm not having a "cost of living" problem personally.
Why don’t you start a new thread titled
‘My football not affected by the cost of living crisis’
and I’ll go on & ask to borrow £20 ;)

Instesd of driving, I'll be cycling to home games from Cornwall this season.
You're going to expend alot of energy on your epic journey, so can I suggest taking on board plenty of calories before departing from the West Country.
I would suggest either clotted cream and jam, or Cornish Pasty, or even better a combination of both !!

its for sure an expensive hobby supportin city nowadays, not that im complainin,am lovin every minute as i did when we was shit, the cheaper away tickets is a good thing and am glad its stayed that way for a few years, trains are a bit of a joke at moment price wise,we either book them in early or we also got a cheaper option of goin with a supporters club on coach, deffo a cheaper option,cl games are expensive away, but just the best trips ever, city fans will just make it work ,ride the storm till this country sorts its shit out

Never understood why anyone buys the crap beer & food in the stadium or at city Square .
To be fair some of the food from the independent traders is really good. Not that I eat at the stadium often. Panchos for example have had a stall in the arndale market for 10+ years and is run by a lovely Mexican bloke called Enrique. About as far from crap as you can get.

£4.50 a pint at City sq is cheaper than drinking in the NQ or Ancoats and walking up to the ground.

Since I emigrated I’ve not been able to watch my beloved Blues live. So it’s a dodgy IPTV system but I can get every premier league game live including Saturday 3pm KO’s. So cost of living watching City not impacted me at all. However the price of a coffee at the local bar has gone up from 1.60 Euros to 1.80. Scandalous for a pensioner. -:)
