Will be gone soon, not good enough

I agree with this.
He's better than joe by a long way at the moment,I would keep him as number two and sign a top quality keeper.Joe's not good enough .
Keep Hart and sell Panti for fifteen million, simple.

You r joking right? Or r u really ignorant to the fact the MP is playing the 2nd choice keeper after we have already qualified to progress to the next round in the CL

Pelle has stated that even though they've qualified, he still intends to win the group. You don't make that statement and then throw out your reserves to get it done. My belief is that the league is of secondary importance to the club and so they've chosen the 2nd string keeper for that competition. Pelle doesn't want to wear Hart out by having him play ever game in the Champion's League and Premier League like he has the past 2 years. At no time has Pelle ever said that Hart was a bad keeper and has categorically stated that Hart won't leave this year. The only people who seem to think Hart is on his way out is the dailyfail and the usual crowd of no-nothings insisting the team will only get better by being run like it's a Football Manager game.

Bollocks is he playing Hart as first choice in the CL, why didn't Pantilimon play in the League from the start if this was the case ? Or did he just come in because Hart was becoming a liability and needed to be took out of the firing line and sort his head out ?

Pantilimon came in to give Hart a rest because he was overworked, having played almost every game for 2 straight years and has stayed in to give Hart some time to breathe. From a different perspective, does anyone seriously think that Pants will be the starting keeper in the CL knockout rounds? I think winning the CL is the team's goal this year and that the club would be willing to sacrifice finishing as low as 4th in the league to accomplish that. Pelle has already stated no new keeper in January, so if Pants is the option we choose for CL, we obviously aren't taking that competition seriously to be playing a keeper who's had barely a game in 2 years as our starter.

I like Panti and he has served us well and it appears him and the other keepers get on very well.

But Costel is no Joe Hart and we need our best keeper in goal ASAP

why? Costel is performing perfectly well. I'm actually not seeing a need for Joe to come back in unless Panty makes a mistake, because I'm not seeing what Joe offers that Costel isn't.

Costel must be the most underrated keeper we've had since Arni Arason.

I would leave him in nets till the end of the season . He deserves his chance . He should never have been left out of the Final of the F.A cup this year .

Architect of his own downfall by all accounts.

Ask yourselves this. Which keeper do you feel at ease with when you see the line up ? I know for me theres less likely to be a rash decision from Pantilimon and his distribution seems to be less erratic. Love Joe but we cant afford any calamities at the back. Not sure what the long term answer is and its something Pellers will have to think long and hard about.

Yet again this absolute tripe regarding distribution.

The FACTS are that CP's distribution is absolutely abysmal and for some unholy reason a loud minority have decided to perpetuate this MYTH that somehow his kicking/throwing etc is 'superior' to Hart's. IT ISN'T. In fact it is vastly inferior in every possible way. It is one of the worst and most uncomfortable aspects of Pantilimon's game.

Joe Hart deserved to be dropped a few weeks ago. His mistakes this season have cost us points. His game can be dissected and his strengths / weaknesses debated. This particular stick that his detractors have decided to use though is so laughably false, so unbelievably untrue, that it is quite incredible how many people have been taken in.

Hart's pass completion in the league this season is 49.7%. Pantilimon's is 61.9%. Pantilimon makes more passes per game than Hart (18.8 to 16.3) and plays more accurate long passes per game than Hart (4.5 to 3.8).

And Tottenham had more possession than City a few weeks ago.

The moral of the story...stats are by and large a nonsense. Especially the ones that you've so lovingly quoted.
