Costel Pantilimon

He's easily better than joe at the moment and not a fuckin bag of nerves whenever the ball comes near. That's the bottom line !

No keeper has a devine right to the position. Joe experienced a loss of form for whatever reason and its only right Costel was given an opportunity. At the moment he is making the most of the opportunity given to him. Until such a time he losses form or starts costing us games he deserves his chance. We were all saying Hart needed serious competition to draw the best out of him, well now hes got it and it can only be good for city to having two keepers playing well.

Found a site that basically confirmed what we know...

Pants distributes a lot better, but punches a LOT more. Pant's concedes less per game despite saving more shots per game. Same number of clean sheets only Joe played 5 games more. Joe has a longer kick.

Love his punches, no chance to drop the ball and he gets himself set for any potential shot back.

That's what Pants has for me; the intelligence to always make the safe decision without the over-confidence to show off.

His kicking was a bit suspect but no worse than Harts is.

Two good saves though.

Hart will play in Munich and will be busy! That's the game to judge if he is ready to come back

Does everyone convinced now that Costel is good enough for City as a backup at least, or we should go and buy Malaga keeper ?

I had my doubts but Pants recent performances suggest we are covered and don't need to sign a keeper in January.
