Glad to see him in the PL & hopefully City get some cash to balance the books.
Exactly… just because we have a buy back, the player isn’t a commodity. 30% seems decent enough… he can go join Djed Spence and Bissouma and never be seen again and we’ll pocket £10-12mSpend £17m on buying him when we don't currently need him, or make around £12m through our sell on clause. No brainer to not buy him really. Walker's got at least one more season in him and we still have Rico, Cancelo, Akanji and Sir John who can fill in at RB.
People are also forgetting that we'd have to pay him wages, a signing on fee and agent fees for buying and sellingExactly… just because we have a buy back, the player isn’t a commodity. 30% seems decent enough… he can go join Djed Spence and Bissouma and never be seen again and we’ll pocket £10-12m
Levy must have found out we were getting 30%
Hopefully the Sporting president ‘refuses to pick up the phone’.Levy just got "out-levied"
I think he's at an age where he needs to be playing regularly. We simply can't afford him that with Walker and the development of Rico Lewis.Pep and Txiki really must not rate Porro as for the buy back amount and rumours of Walker not going to be getting a new contract then he could have been a very astute signing for the long term alongside Rico?

If we were happy to allow Enzo Fernandez to pass by for £20m based on believing we can't offer sufficient time, I suspect it'll be the same here.
