Spend £17m on buying him when we don't currently need him, or make around £12m through our sell on clause. No brainer to not buy him really. Walker's got at least one more season in him and we still have Rico, Cancelo, Akanji and Sir John who can fill in at RB.

People are also forgetting that we'd have to pay him wages, a signing on fee and agent fees for buying and selling

I think he's at an age where he needs to be playing regularly. We simply can't afford him that with Walker and the development of Rico Lewis.

If we were happy to allow Enzo Fernandez to pass by for £20m based on believing we can't offer sufficient time, I suspect it'll be the same here.

it would only be 3 months though if Walker is going in the summer mate? Obviously we have no idea if its true that Walker is going but it was Martin Blackburn that mentioned the potential outgoing players so there is some credit to the reports for a change.
