Could Pedro Porro be a long-term replacement for Walker?

Looks like spurs paying 40m for him we have apparently a 30% sell on clause.. Nice…
It's indeed a good piece of business but as some others have mentioned, I'm not sure why we're not interested in bringing him back. Walker is on the back end of his career and Rico just starting his. He could potentially be a great stop-gap or better.

We mustn’t rate him because we could of got him for 20m

Spend £17m on buying him when we don't currently need him, or make around £12m through our sell on clause. No brainer to not buy him really. Walker's got at least one more season in him and we still have Rico, Cancelo, Akanji and Sir John who can fill in at RB.

I can't think of many occasions if one at all, when we have been left disappointed by our club not buying someone or releasing a player. I trust in our system and the people running it, why buy a stop-gap player, when we still have England's first choice right-back, and a young rising star of the future. I wouldn't want to stunt Rico's progress with this signing.

Seen people asking why City aren’t also buying. Well, he could also not want to come to City. It happens. On to the next. The sell-on is still a bonus.
