Thats fine pal. But we dont know what actually happened hence why i said "i wouldnt mind a butchers at the cctv" - unless you have seen it.

He was on the sick as it was anyway, and as i doubt this affected he income in anyway, he will be happy just for the two rags, if guilty to be punished accordingly, without the need for any compo.

And if he gets some maybe he will donate it to charity? Not like he has lost any earnings is it.

But I'd imagine there'd have to be a decent suggestion that he's in the right for the CPS to be taking it to court.

If you were unemployed and you were assaulted and awarded damages, would you really give it to charity? I know I wouldn't, I'd probably use it to feed myself and my family. All will be revealed soon I suppose when the trial's over.

Just because he'd a drink doesn't give those two the right to throw him down the stairs. There are plenty of drunk people at every game and stewards are trained to deal with them - i doubt that pushing them downstairs is one of the options that is suggested to deal with such people.

If he fell that is entirely his own fault I agree. But the fact that the CPS has taken this case on suggests that the CCTV footage will show him being pushed. Had it been the word of a drug addict against two trained stewards I doubt they would have even opened the case file. As it is I'd say there is footage that proves beyond any doubt that the steward(s) are entirely to blame for his injuries.

No doubt the CCTV will make its way onto here at some point in the future.

I agree with you - the cctv will reveal all. I didnt mean giving as good as he got sorry - but sometimes people are giving it the bigun where the police/stewards or whoever cannot give it back until they have to. Maybe he was giving it out and what they used was "reasonable force". If they were escorting him out of the ground and he tried to get back in, whilst on the stairs then there would have been a scuffle and he came out worse. We'll see. To break two legs is harsh without a doubt, but if its his own fault then well what can you say.

Lets see what he does with any compo he might get.

Okay, tbf I thought he was a smackhead when I first saw the pictures and the story seems to back it up. I just don't have any time for them full stop, utd, city, whatever team they support.
Most stewards now are cocks and I include united ones in that, glorified bullies most of them.
