Didn't work for Churchill but this could be different.

Not in forming a government but he did become the ‘father of the nation’ after 1945.

To say that he was loved would be an understatement.

They just realised he was a wartime PM for when we faced a grave threat and that Attlee was a much better option post ‘45.

I don’t like socialism but Attlee is by far my favourite. A true British legend.

I hate the WW2 analogies but I do see the government are trying to enact the ‘Dunkirk spirit’ by calling on ex nurses and car manufacturers to help.

Brittany Ferries have ceased all passenger ferry sailings between the UK, Spain and France forthwith.
They are running a freight only skeleton service.
