Yeah, agreed. The reported number of cases in the UK has now become completely meaningless, of zero value.
The reality is we have many, many more infections than that number, but since we have no idea whether it's 5x, 10x, 50x or 100x more, the number is meaningless. What I will say is that the US - which has been ramping up testing big time - now has about 7x the number of *known* infections compared to us and yet a similar death rate. Are we 7x worse at treating our patients? I would imagine not.
