COVID-19 — Coronavirus

Something baffling me. The government keeps on saying everyone stay home, yet flights carrying people from infected areas are still coming into the country and the passengers just allowed in with no checks. This surely just makes a mockery of the policy?

Is their proof of this ?

I don’t think I will live ‘normally’ until either I’ve had it and there’s confidence that that gives immunity, or I’ve been vaccinated. When the strict lockdown is lifted and we’re asked to maintain social distancing but with more freedom of movement, people will suddenly start thinking it’s safe but it isn’t.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'll be totally relaxed until new daily deaths are down to zero. Of course, I know there's a umpteen other ways to die but this is a silent and invisible killer that could potentially wipe out hundreds of millions

convinced my dad to phone his gp, he has sore throat cough no smell or taste, and is fatigued. They have given him anti biotics and said it doesn’t sound like the virus. To me it absolutely does and I spoke to him on the phone and he doesn’t sound his normal self, sounds drained and down and he’s never like that! Can you have those symptoms, and if you don’t have a blazing fever it’s not corona? I don’t understand what anti biotics will do?!

Telegraph website:
The new stats also showed that forty per cent of all coronavirus deaths so far have occurred in London, with 18 per cent in the South East, and 15 per cent in the West Midlands. While nearly three quarters of UK deaths involved those aged 75 and over, with just one death involving a person under the age of 45.

That %age of deaths is a new breakdown to me (doesn't include today's figures).

I also noted that the BBC at 3pm described the 563 deaths as "those dying in hospital".

This is what i worry about,my lungs don't feel anywhere near recovered and i am still coughing to the point of throwing up at night,it is 4 weeks now, maybe i am hoping for too much,my lungs were perfect before and if i am struggling then i feel very sorry for people who had pre-exsisting problems with theirs
Don't worry (yet) It will take weeks for your cilia to grow back to perform it's normal function. Of more concern is the debris left behind. Any deterioration and you need to be on antibiotics pronto.

I'm fairly certain we stopped supplying that info early on in the outbreak, some other countries are clearly monitoring recoveries whereas we possibly are not doing so.

I know several people who have had it and now feel okay. No way I know that many when only a hundred and odd in the UK have officially recovered.

They’re focusing on new cases and the deaths now.
