In here.
so it looks like from the beginning of June , flu and pneumonia deaths are higher than deaths “involving” Covid.
In here.
But that still applies if people died from Covid who would otherwise lived many years more, so not just a cull of the frail.I suggested this would happen a while ago and that by the end of the year the excess death figure may well have levelled off, as a high % would have passed in the next 6 months or so regardless. Wouldn't have matter which illness they got, it would have probably had the same result.
What has Trump got to do with this? Very odd comment, I'm not a Trump supporter and even if I was his would that have any impact on my thoughts on covid.
If you think the mortality rate is 1.5% then you are basically going against every person who knows what they're taking about in the world. You've added over 20k onto the death figures to try and come up with a number that suits the fear agenda that you have bought into.
Villanised?, behaveSo let me get this straight, it's absolutely fine for people to be working in supermarkets, warehouses, factories and offices where they are quite exposed and have been throughout the pandemic (especially key workers, whilst others have been having a jolly with furlough) but the minute they step foot on the plane to somewhere with a lower infection rate they are immediately villainized...
ha ha really your own stats showed a 67,000 deaths, the ONS say something similar, the flawed PHE data say 42,000 so even taking the incorrect lower value for this comes out at over 1%. So pick any number you want the fact is the mortality rate is above 1% (Just like all the other countries and just like all the other scientists say). I'm not peddling fear I'm just correcting your bad maths. oh and btw a mortality rate of 1% is 670,000 deaths in total which is extremely similar to the imperial college number back in May.
Deaths involving COVID-19, England and Wales - Office for National Statistics
Number of deaths registered each month in England and Wales, including deaths involving the coronavirus (COVID-19), by age, sex and region.www.ons.gov.uk
the thing with Covid is the mortality rate is really much worse than the 1% as preople get older, but equally for those younger it is much lower.
if you look at the attached website to the ONS you will see the deaths per 100,000 by age group to see the mortality. You will see that for the group below 65 there isn’t enough mortality to create a bar.
so yeah if you are old and vulnerable it’s pretty scary stuff and they / we need protecting, shielding but that doesn’t mean everyone else should be.
millions upon millions have, trust meCan’t people get the message to go on holiday in Britain?
the stats pages are beginning to annoy me now, you cant download case data by lower or upper tier area for about a week now, each time you select it you only ever get UK total only by date.

In here.
Our holiday was cancelled a few weeks ago, was meant to be going next week. Tried booking something in Cornwall for some point over the next 2 weeks, pretty much impossible. Just going to have a few days out instead.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. What about going to the Lakes or the Yorkshire Dales. A few neighbours are heading that way.

It happened with the switchover from Beta and axing the original website. Though there is more data on other aspects accessible.
If they actually publish it. If I interpret what the NHS PHE site is saying we may never know the case numbers for yesterday as they are lost. And just promise to publish today's figures.
Yet on the news just now they were saying the government were easing up things because the case numbers were improving. How do they know if yesterday's numbers vanished into the ether?
Typical me me me approach, and fuck the vulnerable let them die, who needs them, waste of space, just their bad luck if the carch it.Theirs more to this whole charade now.
The tourism and travel sector is finished.
Their is statistically more people week on week now dying of the flu than cv19.
Week by week we are getting state controlled and our democracy ebbing away.
Yes we have had a pandemic but now is the time to get in with life and learn to live with it.
Why is the uk government not doing this, have they a masterplan for the future and changing the way we live?
