Don't disagree, but we don't have a billion tests, and we did, they'd more than likely be available to anyone, the problem is that capacity has pretty much been reached, and I assume it's capacity in labs, not the number of testing kits. You can have a billion tests available but if they’re in the wrong places, you haven’t really got them. Not only that, but if it’s taking over 10 days to report results, what’s the point?
It's easy to be critical, but most things fail when they reach capacity, the question is why have we suddenly reached capacity, it might be solely because capacity wasn't high enough, but it could also be because people are requesting a test for just the first "sniffle" they get every early autumn. I don't know the answer either, but they need to grow capacity quickly either way, there'll be a lot more with "sniffles" in the coming months.
I've been out for a long walk in the sunshine today, and now I'm home reading bluemoon my nose is running, should I try and book a test ? No is the obvious answer.
