Yes it's tough, but she should get her course finished, she'll be in a far better position when it's done.

My two both went through their courses, but neither work in their chosen fields now, but are both doing very well for themselves in a different career.

Thanks, I think it because its her final year she doesnt want to. But its been a tough last six months. Her course effectively finished 2 to 3mths early last year and she still had to pay for her accomodation and tuition fees. And now the chancellor anouces that that she should retrain just like that she feels as if he thinks her industry isnt worth saving. I told her it would come back. But i feel she needs more support from her Uni. Not sure how much she is getting.

If it's open and secure with proper covid rules then what is your problem with it? I teach in a school every day so have you a problem with me going to work? We've actually come to the conclusion tonight to stay away but it's not me you should be having a go at, it's the dicks laying out the awful, inconsistent, confusing messages and 'rules' we keep being given. He clearly wanted stronger measures , he has always worn his heart on his sleeve so to speak, he is very easy to read and what he used to tell the select commitee was what he is not allowed to say in briefings , i.e it was a mistake to not continue with testing in march

BoJo is shifting decisions on to local authorities rather than make decisions himself.

It's obvious to see why she would feel that way, but it's a vibrant industry and it'll bounce back, so my advice would be stick at it, or she's wasted the other years too, not just this last one.

My lad (30) was very down in March, as his company (recruiters of IT people) basically shut down, he runs the Manchester branch and was doing so well, but overnight it was a complete shutdown, he was understandably very worried. I told him then, that whilst there would be issues for a few weeks, it'd have to come back, and within a few weeks it had, not at the level before initially, but once things calmed down it struggled back into life, and now seems to be doing OK again, certainly he seems to have enough work.
