Just on a side note, whilst we all lament the actions or inactions of our government - should we be more angry and demand action be taken at China for their role in this Virus which is killing hundreds of thousands

Our governments never had a chance. Don’t kid yourself. Blame them for testing or hospital beds but at the end of the day there is one culprit.

325 new cases and 1290 new deaths in China. 325 additional cases and 1,290 additional deaths were reported by the Wuhan New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control which announced today that it had revised the number of cases and deaths in the province, bringing the total number of deaths in Wuhan from 2,579 to 3,869.

Sorry to post again but please check Remdisivir and US clinical trial results. Very significant but I caution it's breaking news and not yet fully confirmed. European markets are showing very big gains (FTSE poised to open up by 200 points at the moment) so the world is taking it seriously.

Potentially we could be waking up to news that there is another Tamiflu/Relenza out there.

All the top scie tist advisong government are saying nothing will be available or ready for 12-18 months.

Companies reseaching this keep leaking they could have something ready by summer.

Several coronaviruses out there and knkw about for years we still haven't got vacines for and the one we do took years to perfect to be usable.

They leak and see a bounce on their shares and the economy, I would take any hope of an early breakthrough as more being used for the ecomical boost it gives than anything.

The Chinese stopped the trial as it was seen as too effective and they are scared of the America cornering the treatment market. Will be interesting the see what the full report is at the end of the month.

When it suits they condemn breaches of the distancing rules as the presenters sit closer on the sofas than the 6 foot 6 required.
