Yet if they were widely available they would be made compulsory in particular situations. Just like they are in one or two other countries.No it is soap that kills the virus,this is why they don't want the public to have them as there are many downsides in the handling ,cleaning and reusing them that makes them not much better than useless
As many on here have said, intuition tells you that masks - even improvised ones - are significantly better than nothing. I don’t need an expert to tell me that. And if some“expert” says any different, I won’t believe him.
This is about supply, demand and provisioning deficiencies.
