Just got back from the local shop and it's amazing how many siblings are out socialising with each other these days.
I call that out for the total bollox it is.
Lockdown was necessary.
As were face coverings. A total fuckfest by our health establishment to ignore what the far east (did and do). Indeed, the Guardian and BBC was still following this shit advice at the end of April. Total arrogance and the biggest mistake of all as this led to an extra 24% to 50% cases and deaths.
As to opening up. The massive recession that is coming will kill many thousands over the next few years so we need to open the economy up as soon as we can to mininise the effects. We can play whack-a-mole and local lock down to take local outbreaks down. I don't believe we can wait too much longer.
Maybe but personally i cant see it working anyway if i get the symptoms ive been near mo salah , mane ,and firminio pmslWe do need to open up the economy, but we needed the government to put measures in place in order for us to do that as safely as possible. It's pretty clear that the test and trace is miles off being ready.
They gave up 3 weeks ago.Just got back from the local shop and it's amazing how many siblings are out socialising with each other these days.
They can, but do they bother ? Many just read headlines and believe that is the full story, clearly it isn't always. Most people can read I expect.
Link no longer works.Anyone seen this? Really interesting. More and more evidence that it's a blood vessel disease, not a respiratory one. I guess lots presumed this, but I reckon most of us just won't know given all the ventilator chat from a while ago. Could also open the door for plenty more potential drug treatments given its a different type of disease than initially presumed. Could be a game changer in the treatment of this!

The Google copy still does.Link no longer works.
Not sure that I've seen any Medic anywhere, claim it is not a respiratory disease, that it affects other systems in it's severe form is pretty evident. The Google copy still does.

My daughter and many other medics are convinced that Covid-19 is a vascular system disease and not a respiritary one. An article in the Telegraph from the 24th April on the subject:
