That figure is globally. The stats are bs, a person in America could test positive, recover and then three months later get hit by a truck and die and he’d be down as a Covid stat.

While this might be in part true, it would take a spectacularly high number of people getting hit by trucks or other means of sudden death for this to make much of a notable difference.

One horrible knock on consequence of this virus has been experienced by my neighbour and his wife. He has had to have surgery today on bladder cancer.
His wife had to drop him off this morning at the entrance of the hospital and was allowed to go no further.
She just phoned me to say the surgery had shown it was much worse than originally thought and further surgery, bladder removal and radiotherapy will be necessary.
The poor sod, just come round from major surgery, had to get this information on his own from the surgeon with his wife on WhatsApp listening in.

In fact, the man who made the test said himself it should never be used to detect a virus as it’s useless for this. Also the fact that the test doesn’t even test for the virus and it’s never been properly isolated to fulfill the Koch postulates requirement also raises eyebrows for me.

If the flu had similar coverage we’d have a pandemic every year. Imagine those that have had the flu bad in the past having been told they don’t have the flu but a killer virus, you’d see plenty more people dying from that because the mind is the most powerful tool we have.

London 66 (up from 61 but identical to 5 days ago and fairly stable)

West Midlands 65 (down from 83, 69 and 67 in recent days)

Yorks & Humber 128 (up from 110 and actually the highest in 11 days)

North West 178 (up from 146 and after 3 successive decreases where it was a week ago when spikes in Oldham, Stockport and Trafford first started)

I notice Stockport reacted to this today also according to the BBC. They suggested the local spikes came mostly in young people (18 - 25)
