The BBC reported that Northern Ireland has 16 ICU beds. I hope that was an error.
Surely has to be, missing a zero?

I’d have thought so. Surely after all their experiences with the troubles they’d have more than that?Surely has to be, missing a zero?
I did a quick google and found this article saying all 100 critical care beds could be used fighting CovidI’d have thought so. Surely after all their experiences with the troubles they’d have more than that?
This is a myth.I still get so frustrated with our Government and their handling of the whole situation, it is an utter unorganised shambles. I am watching the Scottish press conference now and it is like night and day.
The communication is clear and concise, I trust what I am being told and can make sense of the reasoning.
When I look at what is happening in England it makes me dispair with the leadership, i completely understand that these are unprecedented times and I wouldn't want the PM's job for anything but I feel we are rudderless.
She is clear and concise but, like King Canute, has had less of an impact on reducing cases and protecting the economy than the English.I agree. I have seen how some in here seem to attack Nicola Sturgeon but I watch her conferences every day as you know from my posts here and - whatever you think of her politics - she conveys things in a clear and concise way that you trust. It has to make it easier to get people to follow rules if they believe that whether they agree or not with the conclusions the decision was taken honestly and is being presented clearly.

I personally don't like the woman and feel that the virus hasn't been handled any better in Scotland than the rest of the UK what is undeniable though is she has managed the Comms much better carrying on the briefings when Boris dropped ours. This is a myth.
Based on population and it’s density then the Scots have handled this far more badly. Most people forget the number of people who live there, less than half the population of London, and many in remote areas.
They have also brought in more draconian measures, and for longer, which has damaged their economy much greater than England’s, which we‘ll probably pay for as usual.
So yes, Frau Sturgeon has handled it much better.
