Coronavirus will be around for "evermore" and is unlikely to be eradicated, a scientist advising the government on the pandemic has said.

Professor John Edmunds, a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), also said the UK can expect tens of thousands of deaths from the second wave of coronavirus in what is a "bleak" situation.

He's fucking scaremongering. How the fuck does he come up with all that Kaz? He added "unless we take action". His expertise is in stating the bleeding obvious

Not according to Nature.

They say the first part of the trial is to determine the dose necessary to induce infection. Those volunteers will not be vaccinated at all.

It's unclear whether later arms will include placebo, so unvaccinated subjects, once the infectious dose has been determined.
I am going on what was on sky news ear!ier , are they the same or different trials ?

Which bit do you disagree with?

We're currently north of 100 deaths a day, rates are doubling every 10 days and nobody believes tier three restrictions will stop this. Just seven weeks at 200 deaths per day is 10,000. So 10s of thousands of deaths seems almost certain.

Is there another part you take issue with?

So, what's your point, are you going to force them, I see it too in my coffee shop, especially elderly people. I'm not sure what you suggest doing about it, one more reason why saying protect the vulnerable, or the vunlnerable protect themselves as a policy can't work.Sometimes we have to go out of our way to protect vulnerable people for them.
No i wouldnt lock them up. They need to protect themselves, not put themselves in the firing line
