COVID-19 — Coronavirus

That is the big question. It can go up just as easily as it has come down, of course. Let's hope we have turned a legitimate corner here.

But I worry how much of these falls are connected to the falling test numbers.

However, the hospital numbers in the NW have been supporting the reality of fewer cases during the past week. If that continues it will be good news.
Not if instead or being in the hospital, they are in a morgue. I fear/expect us to be on 1000 deaths a day before lockdown is over.

A message from my Registrar daughter to the world tonight:
Week one of lockdown 2.0 and just finished a long day shift. Every patient I saw today (a lot of them!) has COVID, they are really ill and a lot of them will sadly not make it. These are the most vulnerable members of our society. I’ve lost half my body weight in sweat and the other half in tears today. Please, please stick to the guidance.

Cases in Belgium (in particular) have fallen off a cliff edge. Very very sharp decrease of infection rates. Similar picture in Czechia, Netherlands and Ireland although neither to quite the same extent as Belgium.

Strange to see such a sharp drop as they've had, without plateuing for any significant period of time at all. Not that it's a bad thing!
