Apologies if already posted but it seems the policy of the UK Government is that we all get it in a staged controlled manner. Not sure the current inaction will achieve the controlled part.

Talking about Americans elsewhere in europe, if flights aren't allowed, then even if they are exempt there are no flights back.Are there no flights from the U.K to the states? Or are you asking what happens if that becomes the case?

Answer (from American wanting to go home and who's just arrived from Italy) "No".
Or does someone turn up at JFK and then get put back on the return plane? And who pays for that? Or are they put into quarantine in the US for weeks. And if so where? It's all a bit vague.

One other positive of this is at least our trains, buses, trams and metro's are getting cleaned, I expect its first time in years for some of them.
