Oldham 57- up from 50. Total cases 15, 911 Weekly 442. Pop score up 24 to 6710. Blackburn rose by 26 to reach 7124 – highest Pop in the UK and only one in the 7000s. Weekly Pop down 10 to 186.

Salford 57 - up from 47. Total cases 14, 375. Weekly 390. Pop score up 23 to 5554. Weekly Pop down 3 to 152.

Tameside 49 – up from 30. Total cases 11, 085. Weekly 240. Lowest in GM. Pop score up 21 to 4894. Odd seeing Tameside this high but so many bunched close together at the moment this will happen. Weekly Pop up 7 to 106 unfortunately based on week to week.

Rochdale 48 - up from 35. Total cases 13, 861. Weekly 414. Pop score up 21 to 6232. Weekly Pop down 6 to 186.

Wigan 46 - down from 58. Total cases 18, 054. Weekly 489. Pop score up 14 to 5493. Lowest rise in GM and really low numbers for Wigan after its traumas of the past. Weekly Pop down 9 to 149.

Trafford 44 – down from 56. Total cases 9418. Weekly 316. Pop score up 19 to 3968. Weekly Pop down 3 to 133. Bit of a better day today.

Bolton 43 down from 49. Total cases 16, 286. Weekly 404. Pop score up 15 to 5664. Weekly Pop down 11 to 141. From dire trouble in September to this low is really good.

Stockport 42 – down from 48. Total cases 11, 425. Weekly 316. Exactly the same as Trafford for first time in weeks. And only 70 behind Tameside. A real race here, Pop score up 15 to 3894. Lead over Trafford up again to 74. Weekly Pop down 1 to 108. Cuts gap to Tameside for best weekly in GM to just 2. But all now over 100 unfortunately. Just.

NOTE HOW ALL OF THE 9 BOROUGHS BAR MANCHESTER BUNCHED WITHIN 15 CASES OF ONE ANOTHER. CLOSEST THEY HAVE BEEN IN AGES. HOW IT USED TO BE MONTHS AGO WHEN THE VIRUS WAS ALL BUT GONE.
