COVID-19 — Coronavirus

Given we still don't know if vaccinations stop you spreading would be a waste to vaccinate the least at risk group.
This.

At 28, with already having it and not really having many, if not any, symptoms, it would be utter madness not to give it the vulnerable over me, even if I was a teacher.

The whole point is to save lives and stop hospitalisations.

I cant believe the number of people who think this is all bullshit and led by the governments.
Our Government struggles to hold a press conference at the right time.
Not only that - when we tell them that they’re talking bollocks, many of them call us sheep and assume we think the sun shines out of the government’s arse because we dare to believe that Covid is real. Errrrr no - it’s entirely possible to be critical of the government’s handling of the pandemic while also acknowledging the existence of the virus you stupid twats.

so Supermarkets are happy for shelves to be cleared and panic buying to happen, all this time and no lessons learnt.
I've been doing ours on a Monday since March (a smallish Waitrose), and whilst it was much busier today than virtually every Monday since then, there were hardly any shortages of stuff, and it was still resonable, though there was a short queue to get in, and there seemed a few more gormless wandering about (usually on their phone - it's little wonder we can't use them when driving, half the folk can't walk).

At least this time there is no panic buying. I fully expected an empty tesco this morning but only thing missing was the cheap toilet roll.

We are now doing a huge number of pillar 1 and 2 tests.

Here is the data from the past 3 days:

UK Tests v Cases found:

Sat 372, 591 v 27, 052 at 7.2% positive

Sun 429, 523 v 35, 928 at 8.3% positive

Today 406, 008 v 33, 364 at 8.2% positive

The positivity rate is far too high.

England only:

Sat 326, 925 v 22, 775 at 6.9% positive

Sun 384, 732 v 32, 155 at 8.4% positive

Today 352, 357 v 28, 742 at 8.2% positive

England alone not doing well here either.

Over 5% positivity is the number the WHO suggest is to be avoided as that represents a pandemic out of control.

The rugby scrum at St. Pancras last night was a sight to behold. No fuckin' wonder London has gone into Tier 4 if those individuals packing out the concourses are anything to go by.

Should have locked the doors and told them all that is where they will be spending Christmas, the selfish cunts
