Thanks, was just quoting what he said, not validating it, I've no inclination to read through all that, as I won't understand most of it, so if what I've posted is wrong you can blame JVT ;-)

Sorry, no, I wasn't at all trying to disagree, you're exactly correct as I understand it. Just thought you might be interested in the source.

Apparently they have made the vaccine but forgot that there might be a large demand for little plasticky bottles to put the vaccine into. This is slowing production.

Boris is doubtless onto it and mobilising a Womble Army with himself being a dead ringer for Uncle Bulgaria.

Collect all the old bottley things you can find out there and we will have the vaccine to you in a jiffy....

Or a jiffy bag at least.

PS not all of the above is a joke. Bet you cannot work out which bit isn't.

That's the most Len Rum post i've ever seen

My daily routine is coming along now. One meltdown a day, every day. I should set aside an hour in my daily schedule to make sure it doesn't run on too long.

It always calms me down and gives me hope to see so many thoughtful and mindful people in this thread.

Cheers everyone!

christ! How many posters have you blocked

I'm pleased he's correct, I didn't expect him not to be, but it's for him to read stuff like that.

I'm sure he couldn't do my job, but I wouldn't expect him too either, we're both scientists but in very different fields, knowing about my own branch is more than enough for me, and at 58 I've no desire to become an expert in something else.

:-)

Can this Oxford vaccine be self administered?

After my op in Feb, I had to self inject Heparin once a day for about a month.

In which case, they could post them out like a tax bill.

We'd get them next day.

Could you imagine giving the general public the chance to inject themselves? You will get people overdosing, some will sell their dosage and you will get some injecting babies and their pets haha

Long term, perhaps, but there's no precedent for it.

Currently no because we'd have to re-validate the storage and delivery. Also worth noting that heparin and insulin are delivered subcutaneously whereas vaccines are administered intramuscularly. Would surely be a necessity for training, unless you're a resident Ronnie Coleman.

Thanks. I’d be especially interested in seeing the number of teachers and families of teachers affected by the new strain, particularly in regards primary schools. The fact that the authorities are keeping primary schools closed in areas where rates are high (cannot find Williamson’s definition of high) suggests a link, and given rates are only going to rise in other areas, the number of primary schools closing will likely climb, too.
You won’t find the info because they know it’s all a fucking shambles making it up as they go along. Tier 4. Super strict yes? Ah, kind of, if you’re in London but if you’re in Manchester it’s sort of different. We think it’s super easy for kids to pass on in the south but the virus turns round when it gets to Manchester. Johnson had the chance to do the right thing medically. And died on the Gove hill of defeating “the blob”. He could have carried the profession and parents with him. But that would take acumen rather than hubris. Rodomontade is not what this country needs. He’s a fucking buffoon
