Covid and travel discussion

In Skidby at the moment with the family for my dad's 90th. A detached barn £800+ for 4 nights. The weather is about 12 degrees and intermittent rain. Popped into the local with the brother in law for a couple of pints this afternoon and I think smiling has been banned in the place. It also shuts at 10pm. Needs must at the moment but if this is the last holiday I ever have in this country I will be ecstatic.

First I have heard of this. Just had a look and Jet 2 have not informed me of anything. Mrs M7 and I are fully vaxed. My boys are 10 and 8 years. Do they need PCR tests now? How old are your grandkids?

Its only been announced in the last 24 hours, U12 exempt according to reports

Also worth considering if you are travelling - having second jab before you go doesn't automatically get you a covid pass. It's the second jab PLUS 2 weeks (so vaccine has time to get up to full effectiveness) before NHS app will issue the QR code you need for countries asking for "full vax"
