Covid and travel discussion

spain saying over 12s have to be fully vaccinated so loads of familys gonna be fucked

I'm monitoring the situation there closely as I'm due to fly to Tenerife a week tomorrow. They're trying to enforce covid passes for hospitality venues to keep things as they are. If the bill fails they're talking about reducing capacity and earlier closing

Any idea when they're voting on it? I go to Tenerife on Monday for 6 days. I see that they're currently at Alert level 1 which is the lowest

i have this exact situation, folk flying in Friday for 3 days. Thing is, they how can they land friday and be at the do on Saturday? is any airport PCR test quick enough? If they test positive they're a bit knackered....
Ive been told Collinson do 3 hour turnaround tests but obviously they cost more and I'd imagine most people are now booking these

Not sure mate, a link below which is where I saw it. Spain/Tenerife have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot. Holidays are being cancelled due to the double vaccination rule for over 12's the tourism industry there isn't happy. Me so long as places stay open if it's a bit quieter it's good.

Ok, cheers. I'll be off the island by the 15th anyway - or rather should be! - so it shouldn't really affect me. And even if it did, as you say if places are still open then it wouldn't be much of a hardship

I was there when we had to quarantine for 10 days on my return and it was like a ghost town.but I still had a great time as four bars were open in my vicinity, In the Pink, the Billy, coconut Joe's and Frankie's. All had entertainment on at night so I had somewhere to go. What was annoying is when they made mask wearing compulsory outside as it spoilt my walking. Barring a disaster this year will be better
