Covid and travel discussion

Tui and yes shes just told me we’ll lose £5k if we dont go so we are going :))

Kinda got you backed into a corner.
I'm sure it will be worth it when you get there and experience it all.

Would deffo say to keep a low social profile in the days before you travel! (it's shit but needs must etc)

Cheers mate.

I'm staying just north of Caleta de Fuste and I've spotted a clinic there which will sort me out (could well be same guys you used)

I've emailed them about pre-booking but will likely wander through and pay them a visit in resort if they don't reply before I fly on Saturday.
That's the one we used ,easy to find.

Two of my siblings live in France and were coming over on Saturday for Christmas and New Year. They’ve just been in touch to say they are not coming now because of the announcement from Macron today and the worsening situation over here. To say I’m gutted doesn’t even touch the surface.
We had a ‘reunion’ planned for Monday of 7 of the nine of us plus their partners at Worsley Old Hall. It’s two years since we saw them.
I realise in the greater scheme of things this is very minor problem but we are not getting any younger, ok I’m the eldest so it’s really me that’s probably feeling it most. I want to see them. Is that selfish?

The world is going through hell and I’m concerned about not meeting with my family!!
Someone in another thread mentioned the naughty step…. Ok I’m off there see you sometime!

Not selfish at all, everyone has done as much as they can regarding jabs etcetera. We aren't guaranteed tomorrow and everything in life carries a risk.

What restrictions on travel has Macron put on French residents?

Sorry to hear that, nothing worse in these times when you're at least looking forward to catching up in person with family and that's taken away.

Wife had it a few weeks back when she had flights to Zurich flying from Lisbon see parents, friends and siblings she hasn't seen since summer 2019 and they then put Portugal on the red list the day before flying out meaning 10 day quarantine upon arrival so had to cancel - gutted is an understatement, she's still fuming!

Tenerife just gone into level three, the fuckers didn't even give it long for level two to have an impact, a week at best. I'm here now so stuck with it, I'd stay at home if planning to come out, this lot panic worse than Boris and co.

The mrs is literally sorting everything and is on line constantly checking and double checking to ensure shes got it right. Wouldnt happen if it was down to me :)

my daughter is 9 and the worry is that if its put off to next year .. will she ‘believe’ still.
Hope you get to go and have a great time. I was in the same boat, cancelled last year then moved to last week but cancelled again, and moved to next December. It was just too much of a risk.

Lad is 8 years old so next year I feel will be last chance saloon before he figures Santa all out.
