Craig Bellamy

I'm really excited by the prospect of signing him tbh with you.

Apparently he's good enough for Tottenham and Redknapp too... but no one is lambasting his transfer dealings. Bent/Pavlychenko would walk straight into our starting XI right now too.

Perhaps this transition phase or whatever it is we're going through right now manes we need players in in the short term who Hughes knows will play for him, he knows that with Bellamy.

In the long run, if it works, we wont be a team of gallacticos, we'll be much better.

I just want to clarify something, it's your view that a team made up of players like Bellamy will end up coached by Mr Hughes much better than a team made up of players like Kaka?

Stop going on about kaka ffs. We can't sign them players yet.

I am fairly confident that not even Hughes would buy Bellamy, I can understand the argument that he is used to the Premiership but we are the richest club in the World and therefore our standards should surpass Bellamy.

The one reason why I still want Hughes in the job is his ability in the transfer market. Clearly tactically he falls short but the likes of Kompany and Zabaleta have been good signings.

I expect the players who come in to be driven players who want to make it in the Premiership and not a mercenary like Bellamy who is a younger yet more temperamental version of Dickov.

I'm not saying we can simply read the 1st post

I am talking about this comment, would you not agree that Kaka would be the type of player meant by it?

dont like the horrible little fucker but he will be one of them you hate against you but love when he plays for you. Just comes across to me as a rich mans huckerby!!

We need to realise like gibbo said we aint gonna sign villa or someone like that. 442 with bellamy and santa cruz would work well and both worked under hughes before

Hate him against me, and if it comes to it I'll hate him even more if he ever puts on a city shirt.

would much rather have owen and santa cruz tbh. Bellemy reminds me of one of those wind up chattering teeth toys you get for ur dad as a birthday pressie when ur a kid. chattering around, 'all mouth no action' comes to mind. Dont think he's right for our club and would much rather seein a PROVEN goalscorer like Owen teamed up with the inevitable Santa Cruz arrival. Unfortunately all this 'we need a striker' malarky is EXACTLY what we had last year when we rushed in to buy Benjani and overlooked Defoe. Never mind, I'm sure sparky's got some tricks up his sleeve, HIS transfers so far have been pretty good. Kompany and Zabaletta have been pretty good this season and we all knew Shaun was going to do well. Lets just hope he sees sense and goes ENGLISH before he looks WELSH.
P.S Ched Evans is the 'new' John Macken.....there i said it....!

Sorry, i didnt mean to confuse anyone.

There's got some people wanting us to sign the 11 "best" players in the world... they want to see a team something like this:

Buffon

Ramos
Puyol
Chiellini
Lahm

Gerrard
Cambiasso
Kaka

Messi
Vassell/Benjani
Robinho

The best 11 players in the world doesn't equal the best team in the world, Real Madrid proved it. I'm not advocating buying Robbie Savage and Stephen Warnock over Kaka and Chiellini for example. What i am saying is, whilst we're in the shit, Hughes will want players who are are willing to play for him, players with Premiership experience which he knows he can depend on.

If that means no marquee signings in the short term, i could live with that, if it put us in a much better position to attract world class talent in the long term.

I'd rather see us build something great than patch something "impressive" together which ultimately falls apart at the seams. A la Real Madrid's "Galactico" era.
