Craig Bellamy

I don't think anyone on here doesn't want Bellamy because they think we'll be a team of galactico's.

They don't want him because he's an average, overpaid, injury prone knobhead with a bad attitude and a history of wrecking dressing rooms.

And we'll pay the best part of £10m to buy him which could be much better spent on someone that isn't an average, overpaid, injury prone knobhead with a bad attitude and a history of wrecking dressing rooms.

Galacticos don't come into it.

If that means no marquee signings in the short term, i could live with that, if it put us in a much better position to attract world class talent in the long term.

I'd rather see us build something great than patch something "impressive" together which ultimately falls apart at the seams. A la Real Madrid's "Galactico" era.

Spot on mate, I'll take a team full of cloggers right now who would just turn things around.
Anyone with sense knows we will buy big in the summer whether Hughes is in charge or not.

i'd have him tbh, doesnt mean he's gonna be our only signing, just adding depth to the squad and different types of players....

even if he is a mentalcase

Yep, that's exactly it for me! i'd be completely underwhelmed if we sign this weasel!

I never said Bellamy was a catalyst between being a "Fantasy Football" team or a "Pub Team". I was just comparing peoples differing opinions on our activity next month.

We all know the January window is shit, plain and simple. We have no striker who will get on the shoulder of the last defender, make runs, has pace and score goals... If Bellamy is available then perhaps, with his experience of the Prem and of Hughes, he'll be seen as someone who can be depended on to do a job in the second half of the season.

Riise didn't seemed to pissed of with him when he scored at Camp Nou and honestly, i don't realistically see him as our long term option, but as someone who offers what we're lacking upfront and someone who Hughes knows how to get the best from. Even then, if what he does off the pitch isn't deemed in the ame bracket as Barton, i don't care... he'd be here to score goals and get us up the league and that would be how i judged him firstly.

But he's no guarantee of that, he's scored 4 for West Ham in 2 years. I'd rather stick with what we've got.

So £10m, £70k a week in order to get a total c**t and embarrasment to the name of MCFC.

Remember for all his experience and "quality" West Ham, a side in a similar position than us actually do worse when he is in the side. Their supporters must be laughing their cocks off that they're going to make a profit on a player that has barely scored in two years.

It wouldn't be the first one, i doubt it'll be the last ;)

He's completely different to what we currently have, that at the very least makes me not totally turn agaisnt him. Also, as i said, i'll judge him on his on field performances, Hughes et al can deal with him off the pitch.
