Can't see us scratching a win out of this test match, to be honest. Unless we get up close to their score, then rattle them out for around 100. And it doesn't look a "100" pitch. Ah well; at least the series has been put safely to bed.

This game was always more about individuals cementing their places in the team, Cook said as much before the test, rather than the result, 3 of the batsmen need runs. The bowlers have looked leggy this test and the number of dropped catches is disappointing though.

Thats a really poor shot from Hales, I hope this run of dismissals doesnt effect his one day performances.

I'm not really sure what to make of Hales opening. I suppose it makes sense if they are going to give him time but I worry he's going to keep going cheaply for the next few innings then get dropped so we're back at square one.
Hales probably get the summers first 3 test matches if he still looking shit be sacked off! That's a fair crack of the whip and it'll be his own fault for not cementing his place. For me he doesn't look like a test match player thing is I believe he does too.

Totally agree, Nasser said in the break it was a good 15!! Fucking hell our openers have slipped if we are calling 15 good, the game has always been about not how but how many. Pitch is good, no cloud cover, a weakened Saffer attack, not going to get much better chances to dip his bread than today.
