Cricket Thread

I've never really looked into it, but it's a lot more complicated than the "Yorkshire Dales", it is in the YD national park, but it was originally part of Cumberland, then the west Riding of Yorkshire, then Cumbria.

It's definitely west of the Pennine watershed though, and it actually now falls under Westmorland and Furness local authority.

It's postcode is LA10, definitely Lancashire.

It also looks a nice place for cricket :)
Historic Yorkshire, was near the Westmorland boundary, now in the new Westmorland and Furness council having been put in Cumbria.

Lancashire play there as it is a feeder school, but players tend to go to Durham also. It looks nice but inaccessible by public transport, the drainage is very poor and poor facilities for the fans.

County Championship fixtures announced. Not terribly imaginative, with Lancashire opening by hosting champions Surrey, exactly the same as last year.

8 points for the draw again, 4 rounds of the Kookaburra ball, up from 2, and another 6 weeks of summer with no four-day cricket.

Feels like the game is evolving and that the longer formats are dying out.

Money and lack of bums on seats talk.
