Bought T20 tickets for my son in law and grandson next September- England v Australia as Xmas presents.

I've never really looked into it, but it's a lot more complicated than the "Yorkshire Dales", it is in the YD national park, but it was originally part of Cumberland, then the west Riding of Yorkshire, then Cumbria.

It's definitely west of the Pennine watershed though, and it actually now falls under Westmorland and Furness local authority.

It's postcode is LA10, definitely Lancashire.

It also looks a nice place for cricket :)

Historic Yorkshire, was near the Westmorland boundary, now in the new Westmorland and Furness council having been put in Cumbria.

Lancashire play there as it is a feeder school, but players tend to go to Durham also. It looks nice but inaccessible by public transport, the drainage is very poor and poor facilities for the fans.

Watching the India Australia T20 and noticing that the stadium announcer is announcing in English. Is that common?

County Championship fixtures announced. Not terribly imaginative, with Lancashire opening by hosting champions Surrey, exactly the same as last year.

We do play there each year. It’s a bone of contention, for sure.

Just pandering to the Hundred until that contract expires I suppose. The longer format will endure.
